A work trip had me spending my days in the vicinty of London Bridge. This area has no shortage of good eateries, however since the Flour & Grape was on my ‘to visit’ list and was a short walk from the office; it was a no-brainer really.
So one night after a relatively late finish, I loaded up the DoJo app (formly called Walkup) and checked to see if I could get my name on the waiting list for a table at Flour & Grape. Success, I had a 30 min wait, which would give me enough time to call my friend, pack up stuff and get myself over there.
The restaurant was heaving when we arrived, with other liked minded DoJo souls waiting out the door for their table. We got a cosy table in the corner and quickly ordered some wine from the small but well curated wine list.
Starter was really easy – Burrata drizzled with delicious olive oil, their Salumi plate, a mix of San Daniele Proscuitto and Lovison Salami, accompanied by some sourdough bread.

For main, it had to be pasta – what else! I went for the Ravioli filled with roast sweet pumpkin and ricotto, with a sage butter, and my friend had the Tortelloni filled with Roasted Pork Shoulder and sage butter. Both dishes were sublime, simple ingredients but absolutely delicious. Soft freshly made pasta, well filled with flavoursome fillings and that rich sage butter which is so wrong but so right.

We didn’t have a huge amount of room for dessert, but then there was Tiramisu ice Cream! This was just the right size to finish off a great meal, that something sweet that sometimes you need! It was creamy and tasted of tiramisu without being too rich.

All in all a great meal, worth the last minute dash, so if you find yourself near London Bridge, be sure to check it out!
