Bourbon Glazed Cocktail Sausages

Bourbon Glazed Cocktail Sausages

I do love cocktail sausages, they are a must for any party! I spotted these Bourbon Glazed Cocktail Sausages a while ago on Pinterest and knew that I had to try them.  The recipe on Pinterest tells you to cook them for 4 hours in a slow cooker, but I didn’t have the time or the slow cooker to do this in, so the recipe below is my adaption of the original.

Bourbon Glazed Cocktail Sausages

50 Cocktail Sausages
3 heaped Dessertspoons of Apricot Jam
2 Dessertspoons of Maple Syrup
2 Dessertspoons of Bourbon (you can use orange juice if you don’t want to use alcohol)

  • Preheat oven to 160C / 140C Fan / Gas Mark 3
  • Put your sausages into a roasting tin
  • In a bowl mix the Apricot Jam, Maple Syrup and Bourbon to form a sauce.  You can adjust the quantities to suit your taste
  • Pour the mixture over the sausages and mixed them all together
  • Cook the sausages for about 1.5 hours or until nicely browned all over and the glaze has darkened and turned sticky

These are best served immediately, but be quick they are sure to go fast!
